Hotel and Casino located on Victoria Island offering views over looking the ocean or city with a gorgeous pool to enjoy the sun and relax.

This was my very first place I visited and stayed when I came to Lagos the first time. It was a toss up between this hotel and the Eko hotel but I was sold on the views.
"Everything is better with a ocean view"

We had arrived late on our very first night and I was so exhausted from travelling for more then 24hrs and when we checked in I was disappointed in the service when they said they couldn't find our reservation for a ocean view room. We were placed on the first floor for a ocean view which meant looking at the roof of the lower building instead of the water until they could change our rooms since it was so late. Needless to say long story short they didn't end up moving us until 2 weeks into my 3 week stay after several times of us going to the front desk to complain, so I wasn't happy at all with the service. I was super disappointed since that was the only reason we choose to stay here otherwise I would recommend staying at the Eko hotel since it is a popular hotel to go to socially to hang out for food or drinks, overall a more lively hotel to be at.
Other then the room mix up, the rooms were nice minus the shower design so that you ended up with more water on the floor then in the tub, which meant then we used our towels to clean up the extra water all the time and when we asked to get our room cleaned they stopped replacing them. One day we called the front desk and waited over an hour before giving up and going out and called again when we got back. There was a few other times when I just went ahead and took my own towels from the maid carts.

As for food we had the breakfast buffet most mornings which had a very large selection of western foods and also some Nigerian. I did enjoy our breakfast and the staff was always really friendly. WE also had the dinner buffet a few times which always had a lot choices of both as well and desserts. If I had to choose between the two it would be breakfast where I found dinner was only good if you were there when it first started and a lot of things looked good but weren't.
Overall I enjoyed my time here and we had a lot of fun hanging out at the pool and playing on the water slide. I would say though for the price I would have expected more and I was really mad about the room situation. It was really nice and quite and we got to spend some long over due quality time together after being apart for so long. This will always be a special place to us since it was our first place in Nigeria together. Somewhere I look forward to going back and enjoy some time pool side when the rain season here is over!
